Our client is seeking a Real Estate/Loan Closing Associate or Counsel; this hybrid position would support the outside General Counsel for a successful, privately held, Atlanta-based investment firm.  The General Counsel is embedded within the investment company and only services the sole client.  This Associate or Counsel position is equivalent to an in-house role.

Duties include:

• Conducting loan closings (<$1MM), drafting documents, and ensuring consistency with the terms required by the investment firm
• Reviewing and overseeing work of outside counsel retained to handle larger loan closings and deals
• Reviewing nondisclosure agreements as well as other corporate contracts and documents

The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of significant commercial real estate/loan closing experience (corporate experience is a plus); a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; and membership in the Georgia Bar in good standing.
