Our client, an international law firm, is looking for a Patent Prosecution Associate with 5+ years of experience in patent prosecution in the life sciences (particularly biotechnology). The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Experience with full range of duties involved in patent prosecution including client counseling, drafting patent applications and freedom to operate opinions, and due diligence, among others
• Registration with the U.S.P.T.O and an advanced degree, preferably a Ph.D., in molecular and cellular biology or similar disciplines (excluding chemistry, medical devices, or pharmaceutical sciences)
• Immediately transferable skills and prior experience in a large or mid-sized law firm
• A strong academic background and J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• A license to practice law in Georgia
