Staff Attorney (Consumer Financial Services)
Description
Our client, a top AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Staff Attorney for their Consumer Financial Services Practice. The practice focuses on a wide range of issues involving consumer finance and privacy laws including bank and non-bank consumer lenders, credit reporting, background screening, fair housing, debt collection, credit repair, auto finance, mortgage lending and servicing, online lending and payment processing. In this role, the attorney will resolve litigation, provide regulatory guidance and assist with investigations and actions initiated by government agencies.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience. Experience with the following is a plus:
- Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
- Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)
Additionally, candidates must have strong academic and professional credentials; have a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school; and be a member of the Georgia Bar in good standing.
